The market remains complex and selective, particularly at the institutional level. However, new sources of investors are emerging, offering opportunities across different investment strategies. Marc also highlighted the importance of specialized sector funds, essential to adapt to market developments and provide tailored solutions to investors.
He also emphasized the key role of the secondary market, which represents a significant part of our activity. This market provides liquidity solutions when the primary market is tight, as is currently the case, with fewer exits in the upper market segment. Today, we have identified over 150 secondary market players, ensuring that every portfolio for sale finds a suitable buyer, whether for large tickets or smaller amounts.
For us, the secondary market remains an arena where solutions are always possible and our mission is to play an active role. Marc also hopes to further develop this market in Africa and create a new activity to nurture the future leaders of Private Equity on the continent.
